Could this be used in high school?
Mary Ellen Smith
Any advise to use for for older kids? Middle school?
my daughter uses this in kindergarten and she has her own personal page for herself, is there a way to make individual pages for each student for confidentiality? without names of other students on the page?
Can everyone see everyone else's journal?
Can this only be used during centers/small groups?
@Kimberly Yes! As an elementary admin, I saw student engagement rise when this was used during reading and math rotations!
My kids love centers but I want them to be more accountable for their work so I definitely like this!
but are all the student names along the side?
Thank you! I was wondering how this might be helpful for high school English!
I bet it could be used in high EC classrooms as an added source of learning.
Can students/parents belong to more than one classroom? I am an EC Resource Teacher, so it would be nice to students to be in my class, but also in their Gen Ed classroom. Or can I only post in the Gen Ed page as a co-teacher? Parents have said that they get “kicked out
Can I share exemplar work and cover the student name?
does it translate messages?
Is there a way to make pages private?
When I sign in as a student and submit a photo on an iPad, I do not get an option to choose my own folder. It just has a green check mark to click.
What if a child puts their work in someone else’s portfolio? Younger kids might accidentally do this, but older students might do it on purpose.
Can students still take a picture of their work from a lap top or Chromebook?
Can an exemplar work option available so students can see what was the best work example?
How do you take a pic that's not a selfie?
@Michelle - you can take photos other than selfies by using the app on your phone or tablet.
Is there a time limit on video?
Helen Mary Cowart
Hi...where will the recorded copy of this webinar be housed?
I have not found a way to take a picture on a Chromebook that isn't a selfie.
What about privacy issues with student videos? Is there a consent form other than school-wide?
Is that time limit the same for students?
Is there a way to upload a Word document?
This webinar and all archived recordings will be shared on: https://ncvps.org/digital-transition/
a certificate of completion will be sent to the email with which you registered
Can you post a document with active links?
Does SeeSaw have tutorials that we can send to students (and parents) to teach them how to use this since we won’t be in the classroom with the students to teach them how to use it.
As a teacher do you see the student’s name that posted to another student’s account by accident? Can teacher move the assignment to the correct student?
@Christina, the teacher has to approve the posting and will get an alert before it is public.
if you upload a weblink, say to a worksheet, can the students use the tools to write on that worksheet
Yes but can you as the teacher move the assignment?
Yes, you can
It certainly happens in first grade to be posted in wrong name.
Can we get a recorded copy of this tutorial
I have not been able to move to correct student.
Webinar recordings are available at https://ncvps.org/digital-transition/
Can students portfolio be shared with the next year's teacher?
yes - very cool tool!
Students can’t write on pdf is my experience.
I'm a speech therapist, a resource teacher shared her page with me, do I just add to her activities?
This is great! WONDERFUL job ladies :) I have to zoom with my students so I’m logging out. Thanks so much for this!!
want to make it as easy for parents
Are you going to show us how to set up a class
Michele D. Hicks
I am enjoying the 'activities' section! :)
If time, tell me how to use blog for exemplar work.
do you send invitations to join your class on seesaw
Can we edit an activity that has already been created?
Can there be a follow up to this webinar after we’ve been using it?
how do you pick kids not whole class?
How many teachers can be in one class?
Thank you for your help! I have another meeting I need to get to.
CEUs will be awarded to participants via the email address they used to register
This would be a great tool for students to use in computer lab. Teachers give assignments and they can work on these during lab time. Reinforce classroom learing
