You only get 3 padlets for free! But you can erase the posts and reuse them.
Yes, Padlet is free - a limited number of padlets
Can you see which students participated in this activity in Padlet?
Yes, but remind them to use their name. I had 80+ anonymous replies my first time! lol
Especially if you use the drop a pin feature in Padlet
Most tools can be embedded or linked in the online environment
Can you see who posts what in Answer Garden?
Good tip, thanks Currie!
If students log in using Google and you select author contribution on Padlet it will show their names.
Can this webinar count towards anu CEU's?
Hi Sarah! Annie O here.
Thank you for sharing about YouTube. I have used this platform in my classroom for Math resource videos.
Yes CEUs certificates will be emailed later
Can you do the same when embedding in Google Classroom and not get the inappropriate videos?
Thanks for the author contribution tidbit!
Is there a tool that makes kids do the work if it isn't graded or requried? LOL
Hi Annie O! :-)
For good pictures?
can you send ppt
Had never heard of Pixton. Curious if there is a comparison to how it compares to Storyboardthat.com if known?
After today I am concerned about the copyright laws. I had never been told about using images and copyright laws. I know that I tried Flikr last night in a lesson and it has very little pictures.
This was awesome

Can you embed in Google Classroom?
Sounds good, thanks.

Great! Thanks a lot!
What is the web address for the survey?
Certificates for participation will be emailed within 1 week to all registered
I use creative commons quite a bit. It shares license restrictions for all the images found on it. Students can also create a license for their own original work if a student decides to use some of the own graphics.
You can embed in Google classroom from YouTube
Thank you for sharing all these resources. This was a very beneficial webclass!
You can embed in Google Slides and then connect to Google Classroom

which one of these suggested resource for is best for ELLs
Thank you for this information. It was very useful
thank you currie!
You can set up Answer Garden to limit profane responses.
Thank you for this great information!!!
On copyright, there is Fair Use for TeachersOne major limitation of copyright is the doctrine of fair use, stemming from section 107 of the 1976 Copyright Act (17 USC § 107). In layman's terms, the use of a copyrighted work is permitted for teaching and education, as long as it is: non-commercial in nature, only includes a non-substantial portion of the work, and does not significantly impede the holder's right to distribute the work.
What are referring when you say canvas?
So if I embed a YouTube link on my Canvas page, the students can watch? We were told that GCS blocked YouTube.
This was great information. Thank you!
Canvas is another tool like Google Classroom.
@Annette Canvas is a learning management system. Same idea as Google Classroom but different capabilities.
You can also use Public Domain
Did you say Creative Commons?
how to access creative commons?
Canvas is the teaching platform Guilford County Schools have been told to use for student learning.
This was great, thanks!
Thanks for the tips!!!

Definitely learned something new today!
When and where would we go to learn how to embed?

Thanks so much!
Padlet: I have my kids put their initials or student number as an id on Padlet
Great job a lot of information in a short amount of time. Too the point Love it.
Thank you! Great resources!
Thank you for all the great ideas!
Thank you so much
Pull the html code on share. Even the share link should do fine in Canvas.
What is the difference between embedding and applying a link in regards to YouTube?
Embed the video as a link.
Got it! Thank you!
Embedding is making it directly visible and playing on the Canvas page
link takes you out.
What Wendy said.
How do you embed? Sorry
Can Quizlet be embeded?
Embed by click on share on youtube and it will give you the code.
That would help me so much! yes
click toggle button <html> then paste, then click again usually
You need to grab the embed code from the site to paste
Sounds a bit much for what we are already doing. May be best to just omit YouTube. Lol
Anything that has an embed share code
That may be something you want to teach in a class however since it is something many people don't know how to do & is apparently important & helpful.
Thank You for the information.
Multimedia and Web Page Design Help!
Can you record the info on embedding and post it?
There are lots of videos and power points information if ask question using Canvas on Google. How do I add a utube video in a power point on Canvas for instance?
I do the powerpoint and video separately in Canvas.
You might want to warn people that the recordings aren't on ...digital-transition... immediately
Also, we have a section on Google Classroom at https://www.ncvps.org/digital-transition-faqs
Are we going to have access to the chat questions after the meeting?
I believe anything created on paper would have to be scanned and uploaded digitally.
in Google classroom, the student can snap a picture of their paper and submit that
I am so used
If the student has a cell phone they can take a pic and post from their student email
@Yolanda yes you’ll be able to view them once we post the recording of this session
I’m always using google classroom and it works well for me…do I really need to learn canvas-so far it doesn’t seem user friendly
Will Susan have any more resources on this webinar?
Google Classroom allows many types of activities to be embedded directly to the classes set up by the teacher.
Thank you all for this valuable information. Have a great week.
Awesome job on this presentation and very useful information. Thank you!
This has been very helpful! I have discovered many additional resources I knew nothing about!
Thank you, great information!!!!!
Thank you so much!! This has been very helpful!
Thank you for sharing!
thank you for information
Thank you I have learned a lot!
Thank you so much. Take care, everyone.
I use Quia.com for quizzes and test
Thank you again!
I use google classroom and just recently began using zoom. I have a question about zoom. I was able to record on my school computer and put the recording on google classroom. When at home it doesn't appear to work that way. So my question is do any of you know if how to record a zoom lesson from a chromebook
If we leave early, do we still get the credit?
On the site that the work was created on it actually has a share item to Google Classroom just it does for twitter, Flickr, FB, Instagram and other social media sites.
thank you for the information! will definitely share with my coworkers
If a zoom room is set to auto record when opened then it might be a solution.
What is the best way to record a message to put on canvas for your students?
I would appreciate information on embedding screencastify videos onto a Google sites webpage?
ok thanks, i asked the zoom site for help but it mentioned that it may require a cloud upgrade which means paying money. So thanks again for the feedback
If you're using a county supported, they usually create for you. If using free, you can have students create their own Canvas account. Or, you can make in the free Canvas.
On topic of recording Zoom session, appears host must give permission... https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/204101699-Recording-without-the-Host
Are any of those in attendance using the Learning.com resources? They are accessed through the IAM/NCEDCloud link jus like GoOpenNC
Wondered if any of you use the app called LOOM. Heard it is good for power points
I heard LOOM is good for recording
Does screencastify works in the same way tha vidyard?
What do you think about creating and using Prezi presentations for learning activities?
Screencastify limits the video to 5 minutes doesn't it?
Any information on embedding a screencastify into a Google Sites page?
Screencastify also allows you to record from the camera for an announcement to the class
There is a code for longer videos in screencastify. cast_COVID-19
Screencastify has a free option right now for a month that gives access to all their tools
The free account only allows you to record 5 minutes at a time
This is excellent, Susan!!
Talking about Powtoon do you know what is the longest duration in the free version?
I record in Canvas Conferences, but you can't download in the free account.
My name is Marty Holbrook, can you guys see me or hear me if I speak .
Thank you very much!
We can see your chat, but no mic access to participants
it is the way the webinar space is set up…so sorry!
ok thanks. So I miss the first part of the session because i was in a zoom meeting with my students. Will i receive full credit

Certificates will be emailed within 1 wweek
Thank you everyone!!!
This has been excellent, Susan! Thank you, Jennifer for moderating!
Thank you have a great day!
Thanks for all of this great information!
Any parting advice on how to get students off of the video games and engaged in our lessons for the next month and a half :-)
