This is exciting. From our experience with remote instruction, we need support with digital content and we need more teachers at our scale. We have use stipends to pay high school teachers for taking on extra course sections, but at K8 it has required hiring more teachers.
Tanya Turner
01:16:14
The state will need to address this through the calendar as well. How will instructional hours be counted? Instructional days?
Angie Mullennix
01:16:21
Excellent input and questions. We will help to use these to develop a FAQ.
Katrina McEllen
01:16:34
I know the grant seems to focus on K-8, but please don't forget that high school teachers needs this support, too.

Tanya Turner
01:18:07
If public schools will be expected to offer blended/remote in the future during non-pandemic times, will funding be given for positions to make this happen without putting a strain on the regular operating budget for face to face instruction….especially with class size regulations...
Steve Basnight
01:18:13
Thanks for all of your leadership and the role of RTI in supporting us in this! I'm in!

Instruction is determined at the local level. Whether we are in a remote setting or not will depend on where we are with Covid or other circumstances.
