That’s my family :)
Please put any questions in the Chat and we will share.

We had a question - Does sports count as extra-curricular activities?
NCVirtual has a Peer Tutoring Program where we have students helping other students.
My kids volunteer at the local library, but with that they are sent out into the community anytime the library volunteers. Makes for a variety of experiences.
If you know of some volunteer activities, you can also share in the Chat here too.
Great point about asking the teacher for recommendations early so they can prepare.
Awesome points about Majors, Location, and Size!
I have students who are writing letters and cards to the elderly who are isolated (contact the health department for ideas on care centers or a shut in list from a church). Also, students can ask their counselor or teachers for students that need peer tutoring. I also know a student who is organizing exercise breaks in the driveway for the neighborhood children using social distancing standards. These are not organized extra curricular but they certainly show initiative and leadership.
Thanks for these great examples Ms. Blount
