Crystal Pullen

@Leslie, that is wonderful! What course is he taking?
Crystal Pullen
32:50
You may use the Canvas Parent app for both schools, but you will have two pairing codes.
Crystal Pullen
33:03
The pairing code must match the school
Crystal Pullen
35:06

For the school e-learning advisor, is there a way to get them in the classroom as an Observer other than getting a pairing code for each student?
Theresa Perry Professional Development Director
38:02
I think I must have set up the app before I knew about the pairing code as now when I try to enter the pairing code my child's account indicated, It says invalid pairing code - is there an IT email
Amber Batten
39:23

40:19
hello from the mountains!
Crystal Pullen
41:24
It is a good idea to make note of the contact information somewhere offline so you can contact the teacher in case of tech issues or power outages like many are experiencing today.
Elena
42:40
From Union County, Is NCVPS following Governor Roy Cooper’s/ US Dept of Education recommendation regarding only EOC/EOG tests to be mandated and not teacher based finals? In Union, students with grades above a certain # are exempt from finals.
Chris Coby
43:13
@Darlene - At the present time, the Observer role with a pairing code from the student is the only way for the ELA to observe students in sections that are not specific to the school. We will have the capability to give ELAs observer access to all students they serve in the near future. Feel free to reach out to me if you have more questions. christopher.coby@ncpublicschools.gov
Mia Murphy
43:21
@Elena-state testing is a district responsibility. We do not administer state tests
Leslie Jewell
44:18
We are enrolled in an NC Public Charter and taking a course due to a scheduling conflict. How do course grades get reported back to the base school and/or included on the student's transcript?
Crystal Pullen
44:45
Self advocacy is a skill we stress with our students, it is an excellent time to master that skill :)
Suellen Pigman
45:15
EL accommodations too?
Crystal Pullen
45:21
@Leslie, NCVirtual teachers submit grades via our registration system at the end of the course. Schools then enter those grades into PowerSchool.
Mia Murphy
45:33
Self-advocacy is one of the most important skills for students. They should ask and question.
Leslie Jewell
46:26
@Crystal. Thank you!
Crystal Pullen
46:29
@Leslie, teachers also submit progress grades biweekly into our registration system which are available to schools.
Crystal Pullen
